RETURN POLICY AND PROCESS
At Smart Cloud Technology, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with our low-cost sensing systems for atmospheric monitoring and compliance reporting. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return eligible products subject to the terms below. This policy applies to all hardware products purchased directly from https://smartcloudtechnol.com.
Eligibility for Returns
- Time Frame: Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the invoice date or delivery date, whichever is later.
- Condition: Products must be in new, unused condition, with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and tags intact. Proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation or receipt) is required.
- Eligible Items: Hardware sensing devices and related physical components are eligible for return.
- Ineligible Items:
- Opened or used products (unless defective; see Warranty section).
- Software, digital downloads, or customized/configured items.
- Products damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or environmental factors.
- Defective Products: If a product arrives damaged or defective, it qualifies for a return or exchange at no cost to you. Contact us within 7 days of receipt for inspection and resolution.
Return Process
- Initiate the Return: Contact our support team via email at support@smartcloudtechnol.com or through the contact form on https://smartcloudtechnol.com/contact. Provide your order number, reason for return, and photos if applicable (e.g., for defects).
- Approval and Instructions: We will review your request within 2-3 business days and, if approved, provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and prepaid shipping label (for defective items only).
- Ship the Product: Securely package the item and include the RMA number. Ship it back to the address provided. For non-defective returns, you are responsible for shipping costs.
- Inspection and Confirmation: Upon receipt, we will inspect the product within 5 business days. If it meets the eligibility criteria, we will process your refund or exchange.
- Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may apply to non-defective returns to cover handling and repackaging costs.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method and insuring the package, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns in transit. Returns without an RMA may be rejected.
Exchanges
If you prefer an exchange for the same or a similar product, indicate this in your return request. Exchanges are subject to availability and the same eligibility rules as returns.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
